As a speech-language pathologist, I am committed to providing client-centred care that empowers individuals and families. I value inclusivity, advocacy, and collaboration, and I strive to help people feel confident in their communication. I enjoy building strong therapeutic relationships with my clients, supporting them in reaching their goals in meaningful and practical ways. I enjoy reading, traveling, going for walks, spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and listening to music.

Maevn Porth is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and a member of Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC). She received her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Dalhousie University in 2025 and her Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology with Distinction from the University of Guelph-Humber in 2022. During her time at Dalhousie, she served as Co-Chair of the Student Council Diversity Committee, where she helped organize initiatives including a Chinese New Year cultural event for the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders. In her undergraduate studies, she completed an honours thesis exploring transracial adoptees’ racial, cultural, and ethnic identity.

Maevn has developed clinical expertise through diverse placements across hospital, community, and school settings including Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, Hearing and Speech Nova Scotia, and with the Halifax Regional Centre for Education. Maevn has also contributed to the academic community as a Teaching Assistant at Dalhousie.

Maevn enjoys working with both children and adults. Maevn has a special interest in early language intervention, speech sound disorders and articulation, school-age language and literacy, autism spectrum disorder, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), aphasia and acquired communication disorders, and swallowing disorders.

Maevn is a positive and enthusiastic clinician who is passionate about collaborating with families to deliver services that are meaningful and relevant in everyday contexts.
