Our Speech-Language Pathologists have a special interest working with children and adults with complex communication needs. We have advanced training to support autistic individuals, people with developmental and intellectual delays, Down Syndrome and other genetic disorders.

We believe that all people have the ability to develop their strengths and learn strategies to promote their communication. We help people with complex needs throughout their lifespan. Our therapists provide assessment, consultation, and therapy to serve young children, teenagers, and both young and older adults. Our Speech-Language Pathologists support children and adults in a full range of areas including: spoken communication, comprehension, speech production, stuttering, alternative and augmentative communication, social communication and literacy.

We believe that every individual and family is unique. We will carefully develop an evidenced-based therapy plan centred on your individual needs and goals. We understand the value of working collaboratively with parents, teachers, day-care educators, therapists and other community providers.

Our therapists focus on helping children and adults succeed in real world, meaningful contexts – at school or work, with friends and in daily and community activities.

Our advanced training includes PROMPT, Kaufman Speech Praxis Treatment Approach, PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), Individual Authorizer with ADP (Assistive Devices Program), “DIR®/Floortime” technique, “Hanen More Than Words”, expertise with technology such as iPad Apps and other Alternative & Augmentative Communication approaches.
